Shawndell Marks kicks off the evening at 6:00 p.m. with a house concert in the Mansion at our very own baby grand piano room sharing her vocal & instrumental gifts. Enjoy a glass of wine or signature house cocktail to begin this extraordinary evening of music, friends & food! We'll then move to the Event Center for pizza and Sam Ness will perform from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. some of his original music that we've all come to know & love!
Recently named Wisconsin Area Music Industry Folk Performer of the Year (2025), Sam Ness is the youngest person to enter the Madison Music Hall of Fame (for Male Vocalist 2024). Mixing Traditional Folk/Americana roots with an Alternative-Indie feel, with a vault of international busking adventures and more than 1300 shows under his belt, Sam’s catalog is steeped in authenticity. His songs trace the roads he’s walked — from city streets to quiet cabins — always searching for something true. If you’re looking for grit, melody and a voice that moves, Sam’s already on the road.
Wisconsin native and 15-time Madison Area Music Association award-winning artist Shawndell Marks grew up surrounded by music. Marks was also voted Best Female Vocalist 2017 and Pop/R&B Performer of the Year 2018 by the Madison Area Music Association and local patrons of music. She now fronts her own original band and is involved with several area music projects including Girls Rock Camp, trio Gin, Chocolate & Bottle Rockets with gal pals Jen Farley and Beth Kille, Gold Dust Women, an all-female Fleetwood Mac and Heart tribute band, Nester, Generation Jones, Teddy Davenport, and various studio projects, most recently on Tony Bonanno's latest album. She has been nominated for several Madison Area Music Association awards, including Keyboardist of the Year, Best Cover Band with Gold Dust Women, and Best Vocal Ensemble with GC&BR.
Together, these two talented artists bring a powerhouse musical event to The Abbey at Otter Creek, and we are deeply honored to host this amazing night!

Pizza's will be prepared when you check in and served based on a pre-determined dinner schedule assigned when you arrive.
